Rail traffic restored on Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Delhi route
Ahmedabad, Aug 10 (UNI) The railway traffic on Mumbai-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Delhi routes has been restored from this morning.
According to the Western Railway sources, the traffic was restored with flagging off of Paschim Express running between Jammu-Mumbai at 1000 hrs this morning.
The rail traffic on these routes had been stopped by Western Rail Authorities since yesterday morning as the trail tracks at Kothan village near Sayan station near Surat were submerged in the rain waters.
However, the Shatabdi Express (Ahmedabad-Mumbai), Swaraj Express (Mumbai-Amritsar) and Bandra-Surat Express have been cancelled for today.
As many as 17 trains were cancelled by the railway authorities yesterday, the sources said.
