Punjab govt to recruit 181 doctors

Chandigarh, Aug 10 (UNI) The Punjab government today decided to recruit 181 specialist doctors on regular basis for providing better medical facilities to the public in government hospitals and dispensaries.

This decision was taken in a meeting of the state Cabinet held here, chairmanship of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.

The Council of Ministers also decided to fill 15 vacant posts in the field of medicine, gynecology, paediatrics, surgery, orthopedics, anesthesia, pathology, ophthalmology, radiology, psychiatry and microbiology in the government health institutions.

The Council of Ministers also approved to fill up 780 posts of instructors in the Industrial Training Institutes on contract basis at a gross salary of Rs 7500 per month.
