Punjab govt gives nod to Fifth Pay Commission

Chandigarh, Aug 10 (UNI) The Punjab government today gave its nod for setting-up the Fifth Punjab Pay Commission with immediate effect to review the pay scales and emoluments of its employees The decision was taken in a meeting of the Council of Ministers held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.

The Cabinet decided to set up a three-member pay panel to be headed by Chairman.
