Power situation worsens, 550 MW loadshedding in Delhi
New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) A day after witnessing a comfortable power situation, Delhi was gripped by another power crisis with the discoms having to resort to 550 MW loadshedding in various parts of the capital.
Out of a maximum peak time power demand of around 3450 MW, the discoms could meet only 2900 MW, forcing them to resort to 550 MW of rotational load shedding to meet the shortage, official sources said.
The power crisis comes a day after satisfactory power situation in the capital yesterday with the discoms being able to successfully meet the power demand during the peak demand period and having to resort to a loadshedding of 100 to 200 MW in the forenoon.
