Police recover hand grenades and detonators in Punjab village
Moga, Aug 10 (UNI) The Punjab Police recovered three detonators and a hand grenade from an abandoned well in Chuharchak village here today.
Two country made pistols and 36 cartridges were also found in the well, SP (hq) Surjit Singh who visited the village said.
He said that the weapons/ammunation wrapped in a polythene were old and rusted and could not be put to use.
The SP said that the weapons had probably been thrown in the well by militants. Similar seizures had been made in the state in the past, he added.
