M'wada death toll reaches to 51
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 10 (UNI) give respite to the flood affected Marathwada region on the second the toll in rain-related mishaps in the marathwada region has reached 51 following four more deaths reported during the day.
Two persons were still missing in the region.
According to information available at the divisional commissionerate here, the worst affected Nanded district of the region topped the list of casualities by registering 14 deaths in last six days followed by Aurangabad and Jalna with 11 each, Parbhani 7 and Beed and Latur four each.
The authorities have shifted about 20,137 families from the 360 flood affected villages in 30 tehsils in last six days so far, the sources said.
Flood situation in Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna and Beed also continued to be grim due to the release of water from various dams in the region, such as Jayakwadi, Yeldari, Siddheshwar and Vishnupuri, the sources said.
