Mizoram to have 100 per cent reachability by Dec: BSNL
Aizawl, Aug 10 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will be enhancing its service by providing one hundred per cent mobile reachability in Mizoram by December to meet the increasing demands.
BSNL officials stated that it had already proposed to establish six extra more powerful transmission towers in different districts besides the existing 31 to facilitate reachability to the remotest parts of the region.
Besides, there is a proposal to increase the capacity of the Wireless and Local Loop (WLL), from the existing version so as to increase the clarity in the far flung areas of the state, the officials said.
''Currently, we have stopped issuing mobile connections to the public due to overloaded network,'' the officials said. They further added the second phase of mobile connections including post and pre-paid would be released during September.
With 80 per cent Optic Fibre Cable (OFC) laying work completed, the Broadband internet service would also be provided very soon, they informed.
The equipment for the Broadbrand is expected to reach within this month, they added.
