Mizo boy bags country's youngest black belt

Aizawl, Aug 10: A six-year-old Mizo boy, who won three gold medals at the recently concluded 18th national kickboxing championship, was declared the youngest black belt holder in the country.

.The Mizoram Kickboxing Association officials today told sources that Kevin Larinmawia, who started his kick-boxing profession at the tender age of three, haS so far won four gold medals at the state level and six gold medals at the national level kickboxing championships in different categories.

He was awarded black belt in September last year.

The state kickboxing association, which is yet to get recognition from the Mizoram sports council, is putting all its efforts to collect funds to send the young kid for kickboxing world championship, the officials added.
