Mixed luck for Vietnam Tennis players
Chandigarh, Aug 10 (UNI) Vietnam players had mixed luck in the final of the AITA Talent Hunt Tennis Series which concluded here today.
Vietnam's best bet in the boys Under-14 singles Kha Pham could not match the strokeplay of Gurinder Singh of Chandigarh who recorded straight sets 6-3, 6-1 verdict.
In an all-Vietnam affair, Binh Pha N Thit prevailed over Trang H in three sets. Down by a set, Binh staged a fine rally to win 3-6, 6-0, 6-0 in the girls Under-14 final.
The Vietnam pair of Hyunh N Trang and Bin Pha N Thit annexed the girls Under-14 doubles crown after beating Tarranum Handa of Delhi and Parminder of Chandigarh by 6-1, 6-1 in the final.
A nine-member team from Vietnam was attending a coaching camp at Harvest Tennis Academy near Ludhiana before coming here to participate in the AITA Talent Series.

Boys Under-14 doubles: Raghav and Gurinder (Chd) bt Gautam (Dli) and Ajay (Chd) 6-2, 2-0, Concd.
Girls Under-14 doubles: Hyunh N. Trang and Bin Pha N. Thit (Viet) bt Tarranum Handa (Dli) and Parminder (Chd) 6-1, 6-1.
Boys Under-12 doubles: Anvit (Guj) and Siddhant (Guj) bt Rishab (Chd) and Karan (Dli) 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
