Karunanidhi visits Apollo hospital to see Adityan

Chennai, Aug 10: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today visited Congress MP Dhanushkodi Adityan, who is undergoing treatment at the Apollo hospital here after he sustained serious injuries in a road accident on Saturday.

Accompanied by Ministers M K Stalin and K Ponmudi, Mr Karunanidhi visited Mr Adityan in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

He told mediapersons that though the condition of Mr Adityan was stated to be serious, doctors were hopeful that he would recover.

The Tirunelveli MP, who was flown by a chartered flight from Tuticorin to the city last evening was straightaway taken from the airport to the Apollo hospital.

Mr Adityan's wife was killed, while others suffered injuries when the car in which they were travelling overturned after one of the tyres burst.
