Hyd-based lab gives prelim report on encounter site blood

Shivpuri, MP, Aug 10 (UNI) The Hyderabad-based Central Chemical Laboratory has confirmed -- in a preliminary report -- that the large quantity of blood, observed at the Gadaria dacoit gang encounter site in a forest within this district, was human.

''The final report is expected in a week and it will then be known whether the blood was that of bandit chieftain Dayaram,'' SP Sajid Farid Shapu told UNI here today.

The blood from the August 5 encounter site was sent to the lab along with a sample of Dayaram's son Kamlesh's blood. The Madhya Pradesh Police expressed the likelihood of the dacoit being either severely injured or slain during the encounter. The body might have been carried away by accomplices.
