HC acting CJ, two advocate generals leave for Pakistan
Chandigarh, Aug 10 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court acting Chief Justice Harjit Singh Bedi today left for a week-long visit to Pakistan to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the Lahore High Court.
Punjab Advocate General Rajinder Singh Cheema and his Haryana counterpart Hawa Singh Hooda too have left for Lahore to take part in the celebrations there.
A delegation from Pakistan had come to Chandigarh for similar celebrations of the High Court here sometime back and these dignitaries had been invited informally by the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court through the visiting delegation, following it with a formal invitation.
As the High Court would remain closed for a week at the end of the work on Friday, the acting Chief Justice and the two Advocates General would return on August 17.
