Govt to initiate debate on floods in Assembly

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to initiate a debate on the flood situation in the ensuing Assembly session, without giving a chance for the opposition to create any trouble over the issue.

Speaking to reporters after a high-level meeting state Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajashekhara Reddy had with his Cabinet colleagues and top officials at the Secretariat, Finance Minister K Rosaiah said the government was prepared to discuss any issue in the Assembly, but it must strictly be on the agenda.

He said the government was ready with information on all issues concerning the state, including the flood situation and the relief measures taken up. All information sought by members would be made available to them.
