Doctor arrested for molesting patient

New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) A doctor of a Delhi Government run dispensary in Shahdra area of North-East Delhi was today arrested after he allegedly molested a 20-year-old girl who had come for treatment.

Rajesh, working at a government dispensary in Jyoti Colony, Shahdra, was arrested in a drunken state from the health centre soon after the incident at about 1230 hrs, according to sources.

The girl (20), hailing from Kardampuri in Shahdra, had been suffering from fever for the last several days was allegedly molested by the doctor during medical examination. He also threatened her against telling it to anyone.

She immediatedly ran from the room and told about it to her brother, who had accompanied her to the dispensary, who in turned called the police.

His medical examination revealed that he was under the influence of liqour.

A case has been registered and the doctor charged under Sections 354 and 506.
