Couple charred to death

Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, Aug 10 (UNI) A couple was charred to death after their hut caught fire late this evening at Vikravandi here.

Police said the neighbours heard loud explosion before fire engulfed the thatched hut.

J Kaliaperumal and his wife J Unnamalai used to make country fire crackers for temple festivals.

Unconfirmed reports said the explosive materials could have caught fire triggering the explosion.
