'Condemn use of chemical weapons' on Tamils: PMK
Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder-Leader S Ramadoss today wanted India to condemn the alleged use of chemical weapons against Tamils by the Sri Lankan forces in the ongoing fight between the island nation's Army and the LTTE.
In a statement here, Dr Ramadoss, whose party is a key constituent of the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre, said it was ridiculous the Sri Lankan Government had ''resorted to use of chemical weapons which even enemy countries dare not to use.'' ''India should strongly condemn the act, which is aimed at wiping out the Tamils in the country and Tamils living elsewhere should come forward to register their protest,'' he said.
The government had launched the ''genocidal attack'' against the Tamils at a time when India was repeatedly prevailing upon the island nation's government to give guarantee to the life of the Tamils, he said.
Stating India should never allow the ''genocide,'' Dr Ramadoss said before the Tamils give vent to their feelings, the Indian Government should intervene and stop the attacks.
