City court sentences one to 7-years' RI for raping a minor girl

New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) A city court today sentenced a man to seven years' imprisonment for raping a minor girl in Nagafgarh area in South-west Delhi two years ago.

Additional Sessions Judge S P Garg held Balraj guilty of raping the girl and sentenced him to seven years' imprisonment.

The court further slapped a fine of Rs 3000 on the 22-year-old.

However, the court has acquitted Balraj's associate, a juvenile due to lack of evidence.

On December 27, 2004, Balraj along with his associate forcibly took the victim to a nearby tubewell and raped her. The prosecution examined 14 witnesses in this case.
