Christian body condemns anti-Christian propaganda in Tirupati
Hyderabad, Aug 10 (UNI) All India Christian Council (AICC) today condemned the anti-Christian propaganda in Tirupati allegedly being organised by the Sangh Parivar to gain ''political mileage.'' National President of the Council Joseph D'Souza, in a statement alleged that the anti-Christian campaign organised by certain fundamentalist groups whose ''solitary and selfish agenda'' was to convert the holy place of Tirupati into the headquarters of their ''fascist and anti-people activities.'' Dr Joseph said the Council would not tolerate such activities but instead fight back, through legal means, for protecting their constitutional rights.
He demanded the government to take firm action to thwart the evil practices of the 'Sangh Parivar' and its allied agencies and order a high level investigation into the issue.
Besides arresting the anti-social and non-secular forces working against the Constitution, their provocative and hatred campaign should be banned, he added.
