one killed and 17 injured in a bus accident in MP

Morena, Aug 10: One person was killed and 17 others injured when a private bus plunged into a gorge yesterday near Shankarpura village in this district on the Sabalgarh-Sheopur road, police said today.

Police sources said the driver lost control of the speeding bus leading to the accident.

Meanwhile, a woman, Nahanidevi(28), who was on way to her house for the Rakshabandhan festival, was knocked down by a jeep and killed on the spot in neighbouring Bhind district yesterday. She was pillion riding with her husband and two children on a bicycle. Her husband and others were also injured.
