Bamboo made Tong ghar finds place in Uttaranchal
Agartala, Aug 10 (UNI) After the Rastrapati Bhawan, the bamboo made 'Tong Ghar' is going to find a place in Uttaranchal for which an amount of Rs 2,38,000 has already been sanctioned.
According to official sources here yesterday, Chief Engineer of the Agriculture Production Mandi Parishad of Uttaranchal S S Parmar said he had seen the bamboo made Tong ghar on July 31 at an exhibition-cum- sale counter in Delhi-based Purbasha and chose to make such a bamboo made Tong ghar in his home state for beautification.
For this purpose Rs 1,20,000 has already been made by the Mandi Parishad as advance. The Tong ghar will be set up at the tourist attraction place Nainital to make it look more beautiful.
A few years back such a ghar was placed at the Rastrapati Bhawan designed by Mr Dipankar Talapatra.
Mr Talapatra has been entrusted with the responsibility of constructing such traditional tribal ghar in Uttaranchal, work for which is likely to begin shortly.
