AGB Shipyard shuts down shipyard at Surat due to heavy rains

New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) ABG Shipyard today said that due the prevailing flood situation of river Tapi, the company has shut down its shipyard at Magadalla, Surat.

''In view of the heavy rains and prevailing flood situation of river Tapi, which is adjacent to the Company's Shipyard at Magadalla, Surat, and considering the safety, the Company has shut down the yard till such time the normalcy is restored,'' a company statement said.

The leading ship building company, the flagship company of ABG group, has registered office and the yard at Surat and corporate office is in Mumbai.
