The students, numbering more than 60 shouted slogans and said the Rajasthan University (RU) guest house - the venue for the press conference - should not be used to hold such events The students had heated exchanges with a number of mediapersons who said the students should talk to the Vice Chancellor if they had any grievances.
Prakash Chaturvedi, a syndicate member of RU and part of the organisation which organised the press meet, said that RU was not the personal property of ABVP. ''It is a social property and students should not have behaved in such a manner,'' he said.
The students, however, left after they were pacified by the members of the press and the organising party.
