A person commits suicide on metro track

Kolkata, Aug 10 (UNI) Metro rail services were suspended for an hour today when an identified person jumped on the track at Mahatma Gandhi station.

Metro Railway sources said here that the Dumdum bound trains were suspended till 2040 hrs.

However, it was not known whether the person, who commited suicide, was still alive or dead.

Metro services, yet to be fully normalised, had caused trouble to thousands of daily commuters.
