5 youth drowned in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 10 (UNI) Five youth were drowned while taking bath in the Kharun river near here yesterday, police said today.

Police said a group of six youth from the capital's Satti Bazar area went on a picnic at the Mahadeoghat and they were caught in heavy current while taking bath.

Their physically challenged friend later alerted the police.

After night long efforts, divers recovered four bodies and one body was found floating today, police added.
