39 DP personnel died 'while in duty' in three years.

New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) Thirty-nine personnel of the Delhi Police died 'while on duty' in the last nearly three years.

While, 18 died in 2004 and 15 in 2005, six have died this year between January and July, according to sources.

Of those who died this year were three Sub-Inspectors, one Assistant Sub-Inspector, a Head Constable and a Constable.

Also, of the 30 applications received for appointment's on compassionate grounds, ever since 2003, 19 have been approved.
