Three members of a family burnt alive

Gaya, Aug 9 (UNI) Three members of the same family were burnt alive today when their house caught fire at Mehratkiya village under Tankuppa police station of Gaya district.

The victims were identified as Hasina Khatoon alias Chanda, her daughter Fatima and son Shahnawaz Alam, Police Superintendent A K Jain said, adding, the accidental fire was doused within no time with the help of villagers.

Mr Jain told reporters that two bodies of children were recovered from Morhar river under Gurua police station today.

Efforts were on to identify the bodies of the children-- a boy and a girl, he added.
