Panchayat employees to hold state meet

Kozhikode, Aug 9 (UNI) The 24th state conference of pro-Congress Kerala Panchayat Employees Organisation (KPEO) will be held here from August 11.

Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala would inaugurate the three-day meet, KPEO chairman K C Abu and president P C Velayudhan Kutty told reporters here today.

The meet would discuss, among other things, various issues relating to the employees and the state government's failure to properly utilize the Central allocation for computerisation in panchayat offices in the state, they said.

A seminar on 'Power Decentralisation' would be held as part of the conference.
