Written by: Staff

Bangalore, Aug 9 (UNI) Chicago-based Mu Sigma, an analytic service company in India, today announced that it will invest five million US Dollars in the city for expansion purposes over the next 18 months.

Company CEO and Founder Dhiraj C Rajaram told reporters here that the capital would be used to double the head count and create a state-of-the-art facility, housing 250 personnel.

Mu Sigma used a global delivery model to provide high quality analytical decision support services to clients across multiple verticals, he said.

''Our mission is to help our client partners deeply embed the use of sophisticated quantitative techniques on their data. Our scientific community, which consists of practitioners from leading educational institutions in the US, enables us to deploy cutting edge analytics for our clients cost effectively,'' he said.

Mr Rajaram said that over the next three years, the company aimed at building a 500-person organisation that would serve about 15 clients. Each client would have a dedicated unit of about 30 analysts, who would form an offshore analytic centre of expertise.

He said the company proposed to set up Mu Sigma University that would use a rigorous curriculum in statistics, econometrics and operations research to harvest and nurture potential talent in the analytic space.
