MP Adityan flown to Chennai for treatment
Chennai, Aug 9 (UNI) Congress MP Dhanushkodi Adityan, whose right arm was amputated after he suffered multiple fractures in a road accident on Saturday last, was flown here today from Tuticorin and admitted to a private hospital.
He was flown by a chartered flight from the Vagaikulam Airport near Tuticorin.
Soon after the flight arrived here, Mr Adityan was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, hospital sources told UNI.
He was accompanied by doctors of Apollo Hospitals, Madurai.
Hs condition was stated to be stable after a surgery was performed to control bleeding.
In the accident, Mr Adityan's wife was killed, while others suffered injuries when the car in which they were travelling overturned after one of the tyres burst.
