Miners of UCIL go for indefinite strike
Jamshedpur, Aug 09 (UNI) Productions of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) at Jadugoda near here were hampered severely as more than four thoudand miners of four mines went for an indefinte strike since last night.
The miners were demanding job to a family member of a driver,who reportedly died on duty on August seven.
About 4,200 miners of Jadugoda, Turamdih, Narwapahar and Bhatin mines joined the strike, supported by the four affiliated unions, an official of Uranium Kamgar Union today said.
The UCIL management was yet to response to the demand of the Unions,the sources said and added that the agitated miners would not resume work till their demands were not fulfilled.
