Lord Venkateswara marriage performs at TTDs mandapam

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 9 (UNI) Above 1,500 devotees witnessed the celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi at Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams' (TTDs) Kalyanamandapam at Danavaipeta coinciding with ''Sravana Pournami'', the full moon day today.

Dharma Prachara Parishad (DPP), TTD propagation wing conducted the event on a grand scale in East Godavari district, according to DPP Organiser Mr Pulla Rao.

TTD Kalyanamandapam, Rajahmundry Manager, Ms Sobharani told UNI that 3,000 Kalyana Raksha Kankanams' were distributed besides 2000 packets of Kumkum were also given to the devotees on the occasion besides prasadams.

She said the Kankanams were kept at the holy feet of the Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirumala inside the sanctum sanctorum before being brought here, she added.
