Kolkatans sizzle in sultry weather

Kolkata, Aug 09 (UNI) Sultry weather continued to sizzle Kolkatans for the fourth day today.

The city did not experience any rain during the last three days thereby elevating the mercury level, said the weathermen.

Met department, however, said the monsoon was still active and there was possibilty of thundershowers in the next 48 hours.

The temperature hovered around 36 degree Celsius with a minimum of 27 degree Celsius.

The relative humidity slumped to 92 from yesterday's 99 per cent.
