Judo trials on August 12 at Patiala

Chandigarh, Aug 9 (UNI) The Judo Federation of India will hold open selection trials for coaching camps in all weight categories for boys and girls on August 12 at National Institute of Sports in Patiala.

The selected boys and girls will attend national coaching camps in preparations for India's participation in the 13th World Junior Judo Championship in Dominican Republic and the South Asian Junior Judo Championship.

According to N S Thakur, general secretary of the Amateur Judo Association of Chandigarh, the 13th World Junior Judo Championship will be conducted from October 10 to 16 at Dominican Republic.

The AJAC will conduct trials for junior judokas on August 19 at Sports Complex here. The selected judokas will be sent to Patiala for open national trials.
