AP: Jayaprakash Narayana's new political party

Hyderabad, Aug 9: Former Civil Servant and National Convenor of Loksatta, a voluntary organisation, Dr Jayaprakash Narayana today announced floating of new political party ''Loksatta'' in Andhra Pradesh.

Announcing the formation of 'Loksatta' at a press conference here, Mr Narayana said the party's executive would be announced on October one and on the same day it would launch its activities from village-level.

Stating that 'Loksatta' would give a new defination to 'politics', he said the party would fight for the welfare of the poor and raise issues like education, health and employment to the youth living in villages.

People, with criminal record would not be admitted in the party, he said the main objective of Loksatta was to uplift the Dalits and Backward Classes (BCs).
