Ganguly finds place in probables list for Champions Trophy

Bangalore, Aug 9 (UNI) Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly found a place in the 30-member list of probables announced for the ICC Champions Trophy here today.

The list released by the national selectors also included veteran leg-spinner Anil Kumble and V V S Laxman, who has not played in one-dayers for nearly one year. Zaheer Khan also made a comeback after his good performance in the county cricket.

Talking to reporters after the selection committee meeting here, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Selection Comittee Chairman Kiran More said a 14-member squad would be selected from the probables on September 14, the last date for sending the team's list to the ICC.

Following is the list of probables: Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvaraj Singh, Mohammed Kaif, V V S Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Dinesh Mongia, Venugopal Rao, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, S Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Dinesh Karthick, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, V R V Singh, SS Paul, Piyush Chawla, Parthiv Patel, Anil Kumble, Suresh Raina, S Badrinath, Gautam Gambhir, Tejinderpal Singh, Romesh Powar, R P Singh and Rohit Sharma.
