Camp ends, Team India to leave for Sri Lanka tomorrow

Bangalore, Aug 9 (UNI) The 'Cricket Skill' camp for the Team India players bound for the tri-series in Sri Lanka beginning on August 14, was called off one day in advance today to enable the players to relax and gear up for the series.

The team would leave here tomorrow night to Colombo.

The players had earlier underwent a week-long 'Fitness Camp' in an army atmosphere undergoing exercises such as shooting and rock climbing to improve their concentration and physical strength. They reassembled in the city for the four-day Cricket Skill camp, which ended one day in advance.

Earlier in the day, in the 'Match Simulation' session, the players were divided into two teams--Rahul XI and Sehwag XI. Team India Skipper Rahul Dravid, Master blaster Sachin, Yuvraj Singh, Ifran Pathan, Virender Sehwag, Mohamed Kaif, Dinesh Mongia, Suresh Raina, all had batting practice before retiring.

Playing for Sehwag XI, M S Dhoni proved his supremacy by scoring 60 runs including five sixers and four hits to the fence. He also played for Rahul XI for more batting practice.
