Bus drowned in Banas river, Army starts rescue operation
Jaipur, Aug 9 (UNI) A private bus today plunged into the Banas river due to flash flood, inundating the road under Khamnore police station in Rajsamand district.
According to police sources, the bus was going from Nathdwara to Maseen village. While crossing the river the bus drowned in a flash flood. Police said there were 22 passengers but no casualty was reported.
The district administration sought the help of army helicopters from Jodhpur. Army personnel from Udaipur cantonment also reached spot and started the rescue operation. The district collector and SP are overseeing the operation.
Southern Rajasthan has been experiencing heavy rain for the last few days.
