Bihar assembly functions amid ruckus over law and order situation
Patna, Aug 9 (UNI) Pandemonium prevailed in the Bihar Assembly today after the Opposition cried hoarse over law and order and other related issues.
As soon as the House assembled, the members of CPI(ML), CPM and LJP waving placards trooped into the well demanding revival of Amir Das Commission constituted to probe the links of politicians and Ranveer Sena and to stop patronising the banned outfit, Ranveer Sena. They shouted anti-government slogans.
However, Speakar Udainarayan Choudhry took up the enlisted business for the day. As the question hour began, the agitated members started airing their grievances. One by one all short noticed questions and starred questions were taken up but the reply made by the concerned ministers remained unheard.
Whenever the prominent members from Treasury benches were on their feet to reply, the agitated members from the well supported by the RJD created noise. On several occasions, the RJD members were seen prompting the opposition members agitating in the well.
Following pandemonium the Speaker adjourned the House till lunch even without taking up the zero hour business.
Later Arun Kumar of CPI(ML) while talking to mediapersons outside the House said that the House functioned flouting rules of Business.
As per the rules, no business can be taken up when the Opposition was in the well he said, adding that instead of taking up the proceedings, the Speaker should either have marshelled them out or should have suspended or dismissed them from the House.
