31 train dacoities during the past eight months in Bihar

Patna, Aug 9 (UNI) Bihar government today informed the state legislative council that thirty one train dacoities had taken place here during the past eight months.

Replying to a question of RJD member Mr Nawal Kishore, Yadav Bihar Power Minister Mr Vijendra Yadav said that 31 dacoities took place in the state since January.

Giving details of the incidents, he said 13 dacoities occurred in Patna railway zone, 12 in Muzaffarpur zone and three each in Jamalpur and Katihar zone during the period.

Mr Yadav said that a special squad had been constituted with the help of local police to arrest the dacoit gangs operating in the state.

A work plan has been made for identifying the gangs and the entire operation is being monitored by the railway Inspector General.
