Two killed, three injured in temple fire accident

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu Aug 8 (UNI) Two children were killed and three seriously injured in a building wall collapse during the walk-on fire festival in Mangala Mariamman temple at Mettu Colony in Manampathy, near here today.

Police said the accident occurred when the wall fell on the children, who were witnessing the festival.

The deceased were identified as Pradeep(11) and Sarath Kumar(13).

The injured were admitted to the Government Hospital here.

A case has been registered and an investigation was under-way, police added.
