Southern Railway announces special trains

Chennai, Aug 8 (UNI) The Southern Railway today announced special trains in the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai-Nagercoil sectors to clear extra rush of passengers.

A railway release here said the Chennai Central- Thiruvananthapuram special via Coimbatore, would leave Chennai central at 2030 hrs on August 11 and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 1330 hrs, the next day.

In return, the special would leave Thiruvananthapuaram at 2000 hrs on August 15 and arrive here at 1215 hrs, the next day.

It said the Chennai-Nagercoil special would leave Chennai Egmore at 2000 hrs on August 11 and arrive Nagercoil at 1000 hrs, the next day. In return, it would leave Nagercoil 1330 hrs on August 15 and arriver here at 0430 hrs, the next day.

Advance reservation for the above trains would commence tomorrow, the release added.
