Rio stresses on the need of entrepreneurship

Kohima, Aug 8 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has urged the youths to change their mindset about white colour jobs and try to be self-employed, which would contribute to the economy of the state.

Addressing a 'One day interface of the First Generation Entrepreneurs' with the state Government and financial Institute' here today, Mr Rio claimed that there was visible change in the industrial scenario.

He also appealed to the first generation entrepreneurs to get trained and become knowledgeable about the marketing facilities avalaible.

He advised the first generation entrepreneurs to prepare the next generation, who should be more equipped to join be self-employed.

Addressing the programme, Chief Managing Director of NEDFI of Guwahati informed that his institution has already invested Rs one crore and planning to invest four times more in the coming years.

He also informed that besides entrepreneurship, the NEDFI is planning in focus on some other fields like aromatic plant cultivation, bamboo mission and decorative stones, which may employ over 5000 youths in the state.
