Rahul moves an application in a city court seeking to go abroad

New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) Rahul Mahajan, son of the murdered Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Pramod Mahajan, today moved an application in a city court seeking to go abroad after his marriage.

Appearing before the court of Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) S N Gupta, his counsel Ramesh Gupta sought permission for Rahul to go to Seychelles.

Rahul is getting married on August 29, his lawyer said, adding that afterwards the newly wedded couple would spent 30 days on the islands.

Earlier Rahul, who is facing prosecution in a drug abuse case, had moved an application for shifting his residence to Mumbai following the stay granted by the high court on a special court order allowing the Delhi Police to conduct a brain-mapping test on him.

The special court on July 10 had allowed him to shift to Mumbai after the brain-mapping test.

Harish Sharma, another accused in this case has similarly moved an application for hearing release of his cellphone. However, the court has fixed August 11 for hearing the arguments in this case.
