Police arrest woman naxal in AP village

Srikakulam, Aug 8 (UNI) The district police arrested a woman naxal belonging to CPI(Maoist) from a hospital near Kasibugga town today.

Ramakka, holding an important post in the Maoist Andhra-Orissa Border Special Committee, is also Dalam commander of Deruwada Dalam, which takes care of operations in Vizianagaram, East and West Godavari districts.

She came to undergo treatment at a private hospital in Kasibugga, from where a police party picked her up. From the same hospital another woman naxal managed to escape from there, according to sources.

Police were yet to confirm the arrest of Ramakka.
