Patna, Aug 8(UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today assured the anxious Legislative Council members to provide best possible medical treatment to a child from Araria district who was castrated recently.

In a shocking incident, four-year-old Suresh was castrated by a son of a landlord after he failed to outrage the modesty of the kid's mother at Mathura village in Araria district. Both the arms of the boy were fractured by the local goon.

The matter would be properly investigated, Mr Kumar promised.

The state government would send the child to AIIMS in New Delhi for treatment at government expenses, if doctors attending him at Patna Medical College hospital advised so, he said.

In reply to a question raised by RJD's Mundrika Singh Yadav, the chief minister also informed the Upper House that DGP Ashish Ranjan Sinha had passed on necessary instructions to the Araria Suprintendent of Police.
