Maharashtra Govt yet to gear up for relief: Tavade
Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Vinod Tavade today alleged that the government is not yet geared up to provide relief to the rain and flood-affected areas in the state.
In a release here today, Mr Tavade urged the government that it should make the money available even before the assistance would arrive from the Central government. The state government had demanded Rs 500 crore asistance from the Centre.
Mr Tavade also said senior party leader Gopinath Munde would go visit flood-affected areas in Parbhani, Nanded and other regions of Marathwada, while state BJP president Nitin Gadkari would tour Chandrapur, Yavatmal and Wardha in Vidarbha region.
He said Leader of the Opposition Pandurang Phundkar will also tour Akola, Buldhana and Washim, while Eknath Khadse will visit Jalgaon, Dhule, Nandurbar districts, while he himself will go to Sangli and Satara districts.
