Intl Exhibition on Plastics in Kolkata from Nov 24-27

Bangalore, Aug 8 (UNI) Aimed at creating a prosperous future for the plastic industry, a four-day International Exhibition on Plastics, 'INDPLAS'06,' will be held in Kolkata from November 24.

Indian Plastics Federation (IPF), Karnataka chapter Chairman H R Thakkar told newspersons here yesterday that the event would be organised by IPF and PlastIndia Foundation, in association with West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC).

He said about 300 exhibitors from the country and abroad, especially from SAARC and ASEAN countries, would showcase their exclusive items in the exhibition.

He informed that the IPF and WBIDC were setting up 'POLYPARK' near Kolkata, dedicated to the growth of plastic industry in the Eastern Region. The IPF had also decided to set up a Centre of Excellence in the park for the benefit of the industry and the West Bengal Government had allotted 1.02 acres for the purpose.
