Court sought information about condition of police stations in Bihar

Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the state government to file an affidavit informing about the condition of existing police stations in Bihar.

While hearing a PIL, a division bench of the court comprising Justice Mr Narayan Rai and Justice Mr Madhvendra Sharan asked the state government to file the affidavit within a month.

The court also asked the government to inform about the general conditions of the lockups in the police stations and whether the police stations had separate lockups for women or not.

Earlier the court had directed the government on May 17 to file affidavit in this matter. The counsel of the state government informed the court that the related affidavit could not be filed as the report was not prepared.
