CNN-IBN reporter, Ambala MLA lodge FIR against each other

Ambala, Aug 8 (UNI) Sidhartha Gautam, a correspondent for Special Investigation Team CNN-IBN covering a multi-crore Agrofed job scam, has made a police complaint accusing a local MLA of threatening him over phone.

Mr Gautam alleged that Ambala Cantt MLA D K Bansal had threatened him with dire consequences after he interviewed him with regard to the scandal.

When contacted by UNI, SP Amitabh Dhillon said he had received complaints from both the parties and action would be taken after ascertaining the facts.

According to Mr Gautam, he began receiving the threatening calls after he refused to divulge his editor's personal contact number.

On the other hand, Mr Bansal denied having made threatening calls to Mr Gautam. He added that though he had given the scribe a lengthy interview on the matter yesterday in the court compound, Mr Gautam kept calling him up and his family members even at odd hours, making irrelevant queries.

Mr Bansal said he had made a complaint to the SP against the CNN-IBN correspondent .
