Woman lived with dead bodies for three days

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) In a bizzare incident, a woman along with her two-year-old daugther and brother-in-law, lived' for two days with the dead bodies of her husband and the two children of his first wife here.

The incident came to light last night, when her neighbours alerted the police when a foul smell emanated from a house in Medchal Weaker Section Colony.

When the police reached there, they found the dead bodies and the woman Jyothi (23), lying unconscious. Her two-year-old daughter Chinni was found crying. Another person, Madhusudhan Reddy was seen with head injuries.

The dead were identified as Ram Mohan Reddy (40), his children Bhavani (14) and Sainath Reddy (7).

Inquiries by the police revealed that Ram Mohan owned a provision store in Medchal. He was married to one Laxmi 15 years ago. Four years ago Ram Mohan lost his wife Laxmi. Later, he married Jyothi and they had a daughter, Chinni.

For the past few days, Ram Mohan and Jyothi had been quarrelling over an issue. It was believed that Jyothi was having an affair with another man. She was helping her lover by sending provisions from their shop every month. Ram Mohan tried to check his wife and asked her to mend her ways. But Jyothi paid no heed.

Police said Ram Mohan Reddy's brother Madhusudhan Reddy, who was also present with the dead bodies, stated that, on August four three armed persons came to their house, attacked them and decamped with cash. However, the police found the jewellery on the body of the deceased intact.

The police also found a letter written by Ram Mohan, in which he wrote he feared that he would be killed following the quarrel with his wife. If he was killed, all his property must be given to his first wife's children, the letter added.

Based on the head injuries on the bodies of the deceased, the police strongly suspect that they would have been killed while they were asleep.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy, Cyberabad Deputy-Commissioner of Police (law and order) Vijay Kumar and Alwal Assistant-Commissioner of Police Laxma Reddy visited the house.

Further investigation is on.
